Expieriences and Extreacurricular  Activities

COLEGIALES CONTRA LA CONTAMINACION (TRIPLE C)
August 2019 - PRESENT​

I am a vocal and founding member of Triple C, which is an association dedicated to reduce the various forms of contamination. Our main focus is to combat the production of ashes that has poluted the south aquifer of the island. Currently, we are working alongside with organic chemistry professor Prof. Luis Morrel to make this possible. Also, we are pioneers of the "Yo Limpio Mi Universidad" iniative which tries to reduce waste on campus.

THE National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), UPRM
MAY 2019 - PRESENT​

 Founding member of the UPRM chapter of NSCS, which is an honors organization that recognizes and elevates high-achieving students. NSCS recognices student from different fields since their first year at their university. Currently we are founding the chapter at Mayagüez, since it was not established before. As part of the directive my role as tresurer is encharge of the funds of the chapter.

Program for Engineering Access, Retention, and LIATS Success (PEARLS)
October 2018- Present​

 

The Program for Engineering Access, Retention, and LIATS Success (PEARLS) is an initiative sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The main objective of this program is to complements students’ education with individualized career mentoring, soft-skills training, research opportunities, internship/COOP experiences, and peer-mentor activities; integrated in a learning community where students, faculty, and university staff work together for a common goal: student success. Presently I am an EPEARLS  scholarship recipient, that was selected by the programs staff.
